Disco 3.09: Terra Firma (Part 1)

That scene of [spoiler] flat on the ground getting just systematically pummeled by [spoiler]—punch after punch after punch after punch—was a perfect metaphor for what the themes this season have been doing to me emotionally. It’s been a pleasant, if occasionally heart-wrenching, surprise to feel something about this show besides “whoa, cool CGI!” or bone-chilling dread—but hopefully Season 4 won’t feel quite so much like it’s being aired directly at me.

So I went zero for two on last week’s predictions in the first goddamn scene, lmao. Turns out the post-TNG combadge on Vor’s early-TNG uniform was just a VFX mixup in the trailer, since he’s seen with the correct oval-backed delta in the actual episode—so that’s neither a meaningful plot element nor a cute inside joke about historical accuracy over the centuries, shame. Still got to see Gersha Phillips’s take on a spandex front-zip, though—that piping! *chef’s kiss*

I also thought Georgiou’s condition was “obviously” something engineered by David Cronenberg’s character (subtitles say his name is Kovich). Apparently he didn’t cause what’s happening to her; he’s just here to explain it. Now if only he’d explain what the fuck is up with his tie...

Speaking of the unfortunate Lt. Cmdr. Yor—he was from the fucking Kelvin timeline??? I wasn’t sure they’d ever acknowledge that in prime canon—and I don’t think the mainline Trek universe has ever been called “the prime universe” diagetically until now, either. (“Why not The Mongooses? That’s a good team name! The Fighting Mongooses.”) I especially love what a small connection it is: one guy crossed over from there, a long time ago, in what was apparently a one-off incident. (He also arrived a year before Lower Decks S1 is set—will we see an animated Vor on the Cerritos next year?)

You can see how the hope and idealism of Discovery’s crew has softened Admiral Vance—his conversation with Captain Saru was so mentorly and almost tender that it gave me the terrible, terrible feeling that his character growth, and especially his soft “See you when you get back,” mean that he’s definitely going to be killed by Ossyra before they actually get back :(

Likewise, Georgiou’s goodbye scene with Saru and Tilly was a transparent attempt to manipulate my emotions, and guess what? I was successfully manipulated 😭😭😭

As a “computer person” myself, I found Adira forgetting to un-pause their descrambling program—then thinking, since it wasn’t running, it had broken—almost painfully relatable 😩 Also in that scene, Stamets sticks up for Gray’s presumable intentions in (sorry for this...) ghosting Adira (...it was right there!), and Adira says, correctly, “but he doesn’t get to decide what’s good for me”—and speaking of painfully relatable moments, I loved Stamets’s reaction there.

When you’re an adult of a certain age and you’re talking to someone a fair bit younger, you’re sometimes confronted with the uncomfortable reality that wisdom rarely comes from quantity of experience alone. To grow wise, you have to experience things that teach you important lessons, and you have to be willing to learn from those things. That can happen at 16 or 46, and realizing it’s more about luck than time when you’re closer to 46 than 16 can give you a little existential vertigo. It’s a lovely grace note in Stamets and Adira’s relationship (and Anthony and Blu’s performances!) that Paul doesn’t always have the high ground when it comes to emotional intelligence.

SPEAKING OF PERFORMANCES, just drive a truck full of Emmy statues up to the Martin-Green household and dump it out on the lawn. Every one of Prime Michael’s pangs of hurt and confusion and desperate affection for Phillipa comes through loud and clear—and Mirror Michael is just unhinged. Sonequa Martin-Green is one of the greatest acting talents any Star Trek production has ever had, she’s clearly having the time of her life sinking her teeth into this role, and it’s a genuine fucking privilege to watch her work every week. I can’t decide whether I want Evil Michael Burnham to have a SUPERLATIVELY AWESOME death scene or show up again down the line as a recurring villain—but this is Star Trek, so you never know, we could easily get both.

David Ajada shows up to collect a paycheque, ask Saru if there’s room in the A-plot yet for Book (not this week, sadly), and walk around looking like the goddamn Wikipedia entry for "compulsory heterosexuality" in yet another long black sweater from H&M’s 2019 "Gender? I don’t know her" collection. (Face it: there’s no man more attractive than a fictional one written by a lesbian.)

I guessed last week (privately; no points) that the barren planet we saw them on in the trailers was going to have some kind of Guardian of Forever situation, but I didn’t expect Paul Guilfoyle to be there, and I did not expect Carl—who, sort of like how Book has a Star Wars vibe, feels right out of Doctor Who.

(The only other headline in Carl’s newspaper that I could make out, by the way, besides the big one about the emperor, was about the USS Jenolan having gone missing—the ship that crashed into the Dyson Sphere with Scotty in its transporter buffer, as seen in TNG’s “Relics.” Easter egg? Or plot point???)

Michelle Yeoh has been so great in so many ways on this show, but she outdoes herself in this episode, in every single scene. Just like Michael Burnham, Georgiou was conceived as a one-season character—she wasn’t designed to have room to grow—and Season 2 didn’t really do anything to write her out of that corner. Season 3, though, has done a really compelling job of giving her interesting things to do and interesting ways to change.

And sending her back to the motherfucking Mirror Universe is possibly the most interesting way to show just how much she has changed, holy shit. (I guess Carl didn’t read about the Interdimensional Displacement Restrictions in that newspaper of his.)

There are two legitimate reasons for sending characters to an AU with extremely out-of-character doppelgangers: to highlight something about our regulars through contrast, and/or to let the actors vamp. The MU arc in Season 1 was grim and almost entirely joyless, and didn’t really shine a light on anything in the prime universe—it was just a generic escalation of stakes for our heroes. The Klingon War was the frying pan, and the MU was the fire.

This time we actually learn things about these people: Georgiou, of course, but also that the “real” Captain Killy has a lot more of Prime Tilly’s trademark nervous disposition than Prime Tilly pretending to be Captain Killy. (Too bad Killy’s destined to get blown up by Klingons with the ISS Disco in the Prime Universe.) It was also a ton of fun to see Rhys and Owo as deadly rivals, Rekha Sharma as Evil(...er?) Landry again, and Bryce throwing knives in the mess hall—at, please correct me if I’m wrong, a brunette Hannah Cheeseman as an un-augmented Airiam?????

Also, I don’t know why they got Mirror Stamets of all people (inventor of the evil spore drive—not, as far as we know, also an evil slam poet) for that dramatic recital at the evil ribbon dance, except I know exactly why: he’s played by Anthony Rapp, who’s a goddamn treasure. And Georgiou changed the timeline here—Mirror Stamets was still alive to get phasered by Mirror Lorca in S1—but I hope we come back to the MU in Season 5 and Stamets is somehow, inexplicably, still around—only to get killed in a hilariously blasé way again, because—again—he genuinely sucks at like, the logistics of betraying people.

Finally, those adorable little DOT-7 drones... but make them eeeeeeeevil.

Next week: We must leave behind all of that which destroys us. A mood for 2021 if ever I’ve heard one. (Plus, Mirror Saru grabs a dude—either Mirror Culber or someone else in medical red—and bodyslams said dude into the ceiling, which... is also a mood for 2021, tbh.)

While rakyat queues for water, public 

tankers make special deliveries to VIPs...

Even as dry taps begin to flow in the Klang Valley, frustrated netizens were not amused upon learning that VIPs were allegedly getting special treatment by having water in tankers delivered directly to their homes.

Among the VIPs were Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari and his family. There were also allegations that federal ministers were getting the same special deliveries.

Unlike ordinary Selangor residents who were forced to purchase bottled water or wait in line for water, an Instagram posting by Amirudin's wife, Masdiana Muhammad, which had gone viral, showed an Air Selangor tanker parked right in front of their house with a hose entering the driveway.

"Thank you Air Selangor for sending water.

"I understand you are the frontliner right now, may Allah bless your services," said a part of Masdiana's caption on the photograph.

A separate screenshot from Masdiana's Instagram story posting yesterday also showed her children swimming in their private pool, with the caption: "Bila air takde" (when there is no water).

Netizens who commented on Masdiana's posting, in turn, shared their own photographs of queueing by the roadside to fill up water from public pipes or water tankers. When contacted, Air Selangor confirmed that it had sent a tanker to Amirudin's official residence.

"Yes, Air Selangor did send water to the MB's house," Air Selangor corporate communications chief Elina Baseri told Malaysiakini.

Quizzed whether it was standard practice for Air Selangor to deliver water directly to the menteri besar's house, Elina said: "We don’t just send to the MB’s house. We do our best to send and help all our customers.

"If you noticed in our press release, we even received help from other states because our tankers are not enough to accommodate 1.2 million accounts," she added.

When it was pointed out that the rakyat's unhappiness was due to the alleged double standard by Air Selangor, Elina declined comments and directed further questions to Amirudin's office.

An aide to Amirudin later told Malaysiakini that Masdiana had in a separate Instagram posting today apologised for her initial posts.

"I realise my error in uploading the initial photos that had given rise to various interpretations.

"In fact, there were people saying the tanker was sent to fill up the pool. That is absolutely not true," she said.

Meanwhile, Segambut MP Hannah Yeoh took to Twitter and hinted at alleged special treatments given to federal ministers.

"Houses of ministers in Bukit Damansara, I urge to consider requests from other residents there for water tankers.

"Let the tankers move according to the order of the roads there. Wait for your turn," said Yeoh in reference to the area which also covers Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin's residence.

The Sungai Selangor Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3 and Rantau Panjang water treatment plants had to be closed down on Sept 3 after detecting pollutants in the water.

This is after pollutants were discharged into Sungai Gong that flows into Sungai Sembah which in turn feeds off Sungai Selangor.

Water will be restored in three phases, namely from Sept 5 to Sept 7 under phase 1, Sept 7 to Sept 8 under phase 2 and Sept 8 to Sept 9 under phase 3. - mk

 From immorality to hero: 

Am I the only one baffled by PAS?...

It is insane to think that a politician can be termed a "hero" when he returns from an overseas jolly with his wife and plays Russian-roulette with other people's lives. That politician is nothing but a selfish and arrogant individual, who thinks that his position in government will protect him.

A hero is someone who dedicates his life to protecting others in an effort to make the world a better place. During this coronavirus pandemic, the true heroes are our frontliners - doctors, nurses, hospital cleaners, the armed forces and policemen.

It is easier to get blood out of a stone than a straight answer from a PAS politician. Do PAS MPs have a problem with reality, with reporters' probing questions, with the rule of law, with the ministerial code of conduct, or with upholding their responsibilities as lawmakers?

The ongoing political drama with Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Khairuddin Aman Razali (above), who refused to observe the self-quarantine rules on his return from Turkey, cannot be forgotten.

Instead of censuring him, many PAS politicians tripped over themselves, trying to justify their colleague's abuse of power. On Sept 1, PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang skilfully dodged a reporter's question about Khairuddin's transgression, by talking about morals.

Hadi (above) is the last person who should lecture us on morals. He stuck the knife into Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail's back when she was nominated by now-dissolved Pakatan Rakyat (PR) to be Selangor Menteri Besar.

Hadi denied having talks about forming a unity government with the felon, Najib Abdul Razak's Umno-Baru, whilst pretending that PAS was a loyal coalition partner in PR.

Last November, Hadi expressed his support for former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad but three months later, Hadi was safely installed as Muhyiddin Yassin's right-hand man after the Sheraton coup.

Khairuddin deliberately put the health and lives of others at risk. He did not act with any morality. Perhaps, PAS or Hadi's definition of morality is far removed from ours. If a DAP politician had failed to observe the quarantine rules, he and his party would have been crucified.

Hadi should come off his moral high ground and realise that anyone who breaks the law, is in breach of the moral code. He said: "If they commit a sin that is contrary with Islam and morals, we will fire them." Isn't breaking the law a sin? As a minister, Khairuddin's conduct reflected badly on PAS.

Politicians who think that politics and morals are mutually exclusive are dangerous people. Remember the former British prime minister, Tony Blair? As a committed and practising Christian, Blair would have believed in the sanctity of life, and yet, he took Britain to war against Iraq, based on a lie. Politics and morals cannot be treated as separate entities.

A few days ago, PAS spiritual leader Hashim Jasin (photo) made the bizarre claim that Khairuddin was a "hero". In addition, Hashim shifted the blame onto Health and Foreign ministries for their negligence.

Hashim's definition of a hero is not the same as ours. Someone who failed to self-quarantine, was economical with the truth and risked the health and lives of others, cannot be considered a "hero".

Last week, PAS' vice-president, Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man's comparison of Khairuddin with lorry drivers and pilots was both demeaning and unfair. It also showed his lack of understanding of those who work for a living. Both professions are excluded from quarantine but must adhere strictly to the rules imposed on them for doing their jobs during the coronavirus pandemic.

The lorry drivers and pilots perform a vital role in keeping the economy and nation running, but if Khairuddin was missing from the government, it is doubtful if anyone would notice or feel his loss.

It is incredible that none of the senior PAS politicians showed good judgment and common sense. Instead of putting themselves in the shoes of the rakyat, they hemmed and hawed, and dug a deeper hole whilst trying to justify Khairuddin's crime. Nothing was mentioned about breaking the law, about the lack of professionalism or Khairuddin's lack of humility.

The Islam that was taught by my parents and elders, is similar to the version learnt by many of my Muslim relatives and friends. Those teachings do not gel with the version of Islam promoted by PAS.

Khairuddin's actions cannot be made halal with terms like "morality" or "heroism". He was also economical with the truth. There is another way of seeing the Khairuddin fiasco.

It is not just the story of a minister who broke the law and thought that he could appease the crowd by paying a fine and making an apology. He was only forced to do these, because of the public outrage.

This is also the story of the silence of the majority of Muslims. The ones who are quietly furious with Khairuddin and PAS' lame excuses but dare not speak out.

Where is the public condemnation of the wannabe clerics masquerading as politicians, who have tarred the religion, and the reputation of the Malays? Where are the learned muftis to denounce Khairuddin's wrongdoing?

#6 - The Seven Samurai (1954)

Some Samurai of the time were down on their luck (homeless) and willing to do anything for a meal. A village under attack by bandits recruits a group of seven such Samurai warriors and asks them to help defend their village. The movie is about the Samurai teaching the village how to fight and culminates in a massive battle between a village and almost 50 attacking bandits. The acting is superb, the emotions run high and Kurosawa keeps you hooked from beginning to end. #7 - Legend of Drunken Master (1994)

#8 - Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (2000)

Critically acclaimed to cross international borders with it’s amazing character development, intricate plot, martial arts ideals, stunning special effects and quicker-than-the-eye fighting scenes, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon set a new standard for martial arts movies. Telling Zhang Ziyi (the lead female character and an amazing martial artist) to get back in the kitchen would likely cost you 50 punches to the “bags”. Be ready for subtitles, ‘cuz turning on the English track is like watching...uh...like watching a kung fu movie in English. Tarantino expertly uses every camera angle and a plethora of special effects to deliver a better-than-real visual experience that gives this blood-and-guts thriller an artistic feel you’ll appreciate at the end. If Bruce Lee is like the original James Bond, Jet Li is the Pierce Brosnan. He’ll never be the original, but the modern film-making and larger budget bring the entertainment value just a hair above the original Fist of Fury. (The ghost of Bruce Lee is probably going to strike me down for writing that) The Yuen Brothers are known for amazing action choreography, and they totally deliver on this one. BANGI, 10 Ramadan 1438H, Isnin – Ekoran kemelut antara saya dan Hannah Yeoh, secara tiba-tiba sahaja umat Islam di Malaysia seolah-olah tersedar mengenai gerak kerja Kristian di Malaysia, kata Pengarah Pusat Kajian Politik Malaysia (Mapan) Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Dr Kamarul Zaman Yusoff.

Katanya, beliau menghabiskan banyak masa untuk meneliti kandungan beberapa laman web yang dibangunkan oleh penganut Kristian di negara ini dan mendapati sesuatu yang memeranjatkan, tatkala umat Islam berpuasa sekarang ini akan berlangsung dua majlis besar oleh penganut Kristian di Malaysia.

“Majlis pertama adalah “All Malaysian-Golden Gate Revival Convocation (AMGGRC)” di Calvary Life Assembly Chinese (CLAC), Melaka, pada 15-18 Jun. Mereka yang terlibat di dalam majlis ini ialah Tom Hess, Kate Hess, Afeef Halasah, Solomon Manzoor, Philip Marc, Hanny Andries, Reggie Lee, Peter Lim dan Irene Huang.

“Majlis kedua pula adalah “All Borneo Revival Convocation 2017” bertemakan “Preparing the Way for King of Glory” (“Mempersiapkan Jalan Bagi Raja Kemuliaan”) di BEM On The Rock, Miri, Sarawak, pada 22-25 Jun. Mereka yang terlibat di dalam majlis ini ialah Tom Hess, Kate Hess, Afeef Halasah, Suleman Manzoor, Brigitta Grace dan Dr Henry Pillai,” katanya.

Dr Kamarul yang baru-baru ini ‘berperang mulut’ dengan Yeoh yang juga Speaker Dewan Undangan Negeri Selangor hingga kedua-duanya saling berbalas membuat laporan polis, berkata, apa yang mengejutkan mengenai dua majlis ini ialah kandungan promosinya, terutama majlis AMGGRC di CLAC, Melaka.

Berikut adalah kenyataan penuh beliau:

Saya sendiri telah menghabiskan banyak masa untuk meneliti kandungan yang terdapat di dalam beberapa laman web yang dibangunkan oleh golongan Kristian di Malaysia.

Timbul keterkejutan apabila didapati tatkala umat Islam masih berada di dalam bulan Ramadhan ini akan berlangsung dua majlis besar oleh golongan Kristian di Malaysia.

Majlis pertama adalah “All Malaysian-Golden Gate Revival Convocation (AMGGRC)” di Calvary Life Assembly Chinese (CLAC), Melaka, pada 15-18 Jun. Di dalam bahasa Malaysia pula, ia tertulis begini: “2017&5777 ialah masa yang PENUH BERMAKNA, walhal ianya TAHUN YOBEL (Im 25:8, Yes 61:1-3) bagi kedua-duanya YERUSALEM & ASEAN, masa SESUAI SEKALI UNTUK BERKUMPUL DAN BERSAMA-SAMA, DIJAJARKAN SEBAGAI SATU DALAM TUBUH, SE HATI, SE PIKIR, SE HAJAT, DALAM KUASA SATU ROH KUDUS YANG BENAR… MENYEDIAKAN JALAN UNTUK KEPULANGAN RAJA KEMULIAAN Melalui MALAYSIA Negara Pelangi Asia & Pemangkin Kebangkitan Negara-negara Pintu Gerbang Emas.”

Disebutkan juga mengenai prophesies (nubuat) Cindy Jacobs mengenai Malaysia.

Di dalam bahasa Inggeris, prophesies (nubuat) ini tertulis begini: “There’s a Great Awakening coming to Malaysia… the Anointing for 24 hours prayer is coming upon you. You are going to Build Prayer Towers.. Restore the Tabernacle of David…” “.. the Church of Malaysia is going to come into a tremendous new Unity… there is going to come a Cry coming out of Malaysia that will Heal Asia says The LORD!” “…Malaysia is a Key that Changes Nations…”

Di dalam bahasa Malaysia pula, prophesies (nubuat) ini tertulis begini: “Ada Kebangkitan hebat yang akan datang atas Malaysia… Urapan untuk doa 24 jam akan dicurahkan ke atas kamu. Kamu akan mendirikan Menara Doa… Memulihkan Khemah Suci Daud … ” “.. gereja Malaysia akan masuk ke dalam satu kesatuan baru yang hebat sekali…. akan keluar dari Malaysia Seruan yang Memulihkan Asia, kata Tuhan!” “…Malaysia adalah Kunci yang Mengubah Negara-Negara…”

Selain itu, tertulis juga pertanyaan MENGAPA MALAYSIA? (WHY MALAYSIA?).

Di dalam bahasa Inggeris, pertanyaan ini dijawab begini: “Actually the question could be reversed – why not Malaysia? All who have eyes to see and ears to hear surely wonder at what is happening in this little corner of the world called Malaysia. Christian hearts cry out for a mighty move of God in our midst. Indeed God has announced through His prophets the DESTINY of Malaysia as a RAINBOW NATION AND REVIVAL CATALYST for South-east Asia, Asia Pacific and the countries in the Golden Gate segment.”

Bagaimanapun, dua majlis ini sebenarnya bukanlah baru kerana ia pernah dilangsungkan pada tahun lepas.

Majlis pertama adalah “First Borneo Revival Convention 2016” di Sandakan Sports Complex, Jalan Sibuga, Sandakan, Sabah, pada 28 April-2 Mei 2016.

Antara kandungan promosi majlis ini adalah:

“Most importantly, let us fan the fire of revival in Borneo that would spread to the whole of Malaysia and to the nations! Malaysia has the prophetic end-time calling to be the revival catalyst within the Golden Gate Nations, which fire of revival will spread back to Jerusalem.”

Majlis kedua pula adalah “All Malaysian-Golden Gate Revival Convocation” di Grace Convention Center, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, pada 26-29 Mei 2016.

Antara kandungan promosi majlis ini adalah:

“Discover how you are preparing the way for the King of Glory to return in the process!  What is the Golden Gate Nations?  Why Malaysia has the destiny to be the revival catalyst of the Golden Gate Nations?  How Malaysia’s fulfillment of the destiny ties into the salvation of God’s covenant people and the return of Jesus Christ?”

Kandungan promosi majlis ini juga turut menyebut prophecy (nubuat) oleh Dr Daniel Pak berbunyi: “Let new people do new things. Malaysia is My next target. Go when I Speak, people are waiting. Malaysia is My target. Malaysia will target nations with clarity of word and sharpness. They will multiply and expand what has happened in Taiwan and Korea. They know how to See, hear and obey. They know how to speak to nations appropriately and fruitfully. For I will move mightily for I have heard the fervent prayer of the few. Their prayers have touched My heart. Because they have moved My heart, I am going to stand for them and raise up my righteous right hand and touch Malaysia… and Singapore. “

Sebelum itu, pada 3 Disember 2015, turut disebutkan oleh laman web Kristian ini mengenai kisah kejayaan golongan Kristian yang diketuai oleh Tom Hess dan Afeef Halasah membina Prayer Tower di atas sebuah bukit di Bentong, Pahang, pada 28 Mei 2015.

Disebutkan begini kisahnya:

“In year 2012, Pastor Philip Marc and his wife VinSie was led by God, in the All Nations Convocation Jerusalem (ANCJ) in Jerusalem to build a prayer tower.

Prophetess Cindy Jacob was prophesying for the nations, when she suddenly called Philip Marc to come onstage. Before she called, Philip already felt a prompting in his heart that Cindy would be calling him.

“Cindy said that something is going to happen in Malaysia that will capture not only the country’s attention but the attention of the world, and to tell the royal family to get ready because God will be visiting them soon.”

Then she turned to Philip and said, “The LORD says to you that He is getting ready to give you the property for the prayer tower. The land, the field, and the finances are already there. Go buy the land, you build it, they will come.” Cindy shared that what happened in Indonesia will happen in Malaysia. Indonesia started their first Prayer Tower in year 1998, and now they have the most Prayer Towers in the world.

One of the major visions of the prayer tower is to direct Malaysia to its purpose as the revival catalyst of the Golden Gates nations in Asia-Pacific. There are a total of 12 gates in the Bible, and Malaysia holds the key for revival among the nations in the Golden gate region.

This was prophesied by both Chuck Pierce and Cindy Jacobs that Malaysia is the key to unlock and change nations! To accomplish God’s purpose for Malaysia, Philip Marc is elected as one of the key Golden Gate Keepers of the All Nations Convocation Jerusalem currently.”

Kisah-kisah ini sebenarnya kelihatan selari dengan kenyataan yang sering disebut oleh Hannah Yeoh bahawa Tuhan ada rancangan untuk golongan Kristian di Malaysia. Di antara lainnya adalah kenyataan beliau di dalam “THRIVE2016 Conference” yang dilaporkan oleh laman web Kristian ini pada 4 Disember 2016 berbunyi: ‘It is very important that as Christians, we catch the vision, not just corporately, but individually. We must catch the vision that God really has a plan and future for us in Malaysia, that it was not by accident that He placed us in Malaysia. And that we are not just meant to survive in this nation, but to do well and to excel.’

Walaupun begitu, soal sama ada keselarian ini adalah satu kebetulan atau tidak adalah satu perkara lain pula.

Azmin Ali terpengaruh dengan cadangan yang dibawa oleh Zahid Md.Arif untuk mengadakan satu gerakan sulit yang diketuai oleh Muhyiddin Yassin dan dirinya. Namun penyertaan Azmin Ali dan Zuraidah Kamaruddin adalah bersyarat. Menurut sumber antara syarat yang diberikan kepada Azmin Ali dan Zuraidah adalah :- 1). Membawa keluar seberapa ramai ahli PKR untuk menyertai Bersatu . Demi memberi sokongan kepada Muhyiddin ketika pemilihan berlangsung. 2). Membentuk kesepakatan bersama pemimpin Umno dan PAS dibawah “Muafakat Nasional” dengan membawa maksud disebalik move tersebut bukti kebersamaan Umno untuk memberi sokongan kepada Muhyiddin Yassin memerintah kerajaan baru dengan cara rampas kuasa. 3) Mengenepikan Anwar Ibrahim sebagai calon perdana menteri ke-9 dengan menjanjikan kerusi TPM kepada Azmin Ali. 4) Azmin Ali dijanjikan kerusi TPM sekiranya mengekalkan sokongan kepada Umno untuk berada didalam Kabinet Selepas PRU-15 nanti.

Majlis “Makan malam Muafakat Nasional” yang turut dihadiri oleh Zahid Md.Arif yang kelihatan paling sibuk ketika menunggu ketibaan beberapa orang VVIP maybe yang ditunggu adalah “Diva AA”. Diva AA pun ada juga dalam majlis tersebut yang dibuat ditingkat Aras 3D Shareton Hotel PJ. Al-Kisahnya bahawa Tun Mahathir akan turut hadir di hotel Shareton tersebut dengan tujuan untuk bertemu dengan kesemua ahli kabinet di ballroom tingkat 3C. Jadi no wonder Muhyiddin Yassin dan Syed Saddiq juga hadir di hotel yang sama pada malam tersebut. Muhyiddin Yassin dengan berbaju batik orange kemerahan wajah kelat sebat tiba di tingkat 3C , YB Syed Saddiq turut hadir dengan berpakaian long sleve putih dilihat tidak senang terus masuk ke bilik dimana pertemuan akan berlangsung. Media dilarang untuk menuramah mana-mana ahli kabinet yang hadir serta tidak dibenarkan untuk masuk ke bilik tersebut.

Walhal , tidak timbul cerita bahawa Tun Mahathir akan hadir sama sedangkan Tun Mahathir tidak merestui langsung “Shareton Move” atau “Muafakat Nasional” tersebut, inikan pula untuk hadir atas kapasiti pertemuan tertutup kesemua ahli kabinetnya di tempat yang sama. Semua tahu, usaha untuk menjatuhkan kerajaan PH yang waktu itu sedang fokus untuk menangani wabak COVID-19 telah bermula pada 23 Feb 2020. Beberapa hari sahaja selepas kerajaan PH mendapat pujian daripada WHO (Persatuan Kesihatan Sedunia), kerajaan ini telah jatuh apabila Muhyidin Yassin, Presiden Bersatu dan Azmin Ali, Timbalan Presiden Keadilan telah membawa beberapa orang MP yang menyokong mereka untuk keluar dari PH. Pada 24 Feb hingga 29 Feb 2020, Tun M menjadi PM sementara tanpa kerajaan atau Kabinet. Himpunan Tabligh di Seri Petaling adalah pada 27 Feb 2020. Siapa yang boleh kawal dan menanganinya dengan baik jika kerajaan pun tiada? Waktu itu semua orang politik bergelut dengan politik. PH bertungkus lumus untuk cuba pertahankan mandat rakyat. Gabungan pengkhianat yang dibantu oleh Umno dan Pas kononnya parti Islam ini pun bertungkus lumus untuk merampas mandat rakyat tanpa mahu menunggu PRU15.

Bermula 27 Feb 2020 (Himpunan Tabligh di Seri Petaling), wabak ini mula mewujudkan kluster tanpa kawalan akibat ketiadaan kerajaan atau menteri melainkan seorang PM sementara. Selepas Muhyidin angkat sumpah dan tercapai impiannya untuk menjadi PM, gabungan pengkhianat ini pula berebut untuk menjadi menteri atau menteri kanan. Kabinet kerajaan pintu belakang ini mula diumumkan pada 10 Mac 2020 termasuk Menteri Kesihatan. Amat lewat pembentukan kabinet kerajaan pintu belakang dibuat kerana tidak mudah untuk mengagihkan jawatan kepada para penyokong mereka yang sanggup untuk khianat kepada mandat rakyat. Sehingga sekarang rasa tidak puas hati tetap wujud. Mengapa perlu salahkan kerajaan PH yang kamu rampas dari rakyat itu? Kamu takut untuk hadapi kutukan rakyat akibat kerakusan kamu hingga satu negara terpaksa alami kesukaran sebegini? Rakyat patut bersyukur walaupun kerajaan PH dikhianati, tetapi kerajaan PH masih ada wang simpanan hasil penjimatan selama 22 bulan kita berkuasa dan wang ini lah yang diagihkan oleh mereka sekarang. Sudahlah merompak mandat rakyat, sekarang mahu tuding jari kepada pihak lain? - Wfauzdin Ns

Health Minister Adham Baba accuses the former Pakatan Harapan government of failing to contain the Sri Petaling tabligh gathering from February 27 to March 3, which was identified as a major cluster which sparked a Covid 19 outbreak in the country. The Sheraton Move, the controversial political coup involving Adham’s party Umno, PAS, Bersatu and a rogue 11 MPs from PKR, which resulted in the fall of the Pakatan Harapan government happened on February 23, with Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad resigning as Prime Minister on Feb 24 and as such the country was left without a functioning goverment between then and February 29. Already under fire and constant public scrutiny since his infamous “drink warm water to kill coronavirus” statement, Adham chose a Facebook live session with Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi today to put the blame on Pakatan Harapan, stating that the outbreak had worsened due to the previous administration’s failure to contain the tabligh cluster. Adham’s latest statement insigated yet another backlash from netizens who swarmed over his statement within minutes of it being reported. Pakatan Harapan representatives also hit back, most pointing out the fact that the “Sheraton Move” which saw a massive gathering of representatives of the current Perikatan Nasional government at the Sheraton Hotel in Petaling Jaya to plot the political coup as a major contributing factor. “The move to oust the Pakatan Harapan government was set in motion on Feb 23. From Feb 24 until Feb 29, the country did not have a government,” former deputy minister of Women, Family and Community Development Hannah Yeoh wrote on her Facebook page. “Now you know why he did not do daily press conferences for Covid-19. Nothing right comes out from his mouth! And by the way when other frontliners are busy fighting Covid-19, this Health Minister is busy doing fb live with his UMNO leader. This Cabinet is all about playing politics,” added Hannah.

Since his warm water debacle, which made global headlines, Adham seems to have been overshadowed by Health Department director general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, who has since conducted the press conference providing daily updates on the Covid 19 situation to national audiences. Bersatu’s Armada executive committee member Abu Hafiz Salleh Hudin echoed Hannah’s displeasure, by clarifying to Adham that there were thus far three major big waves of the Covid 19 outbreak recorded, with the first wave being imported through foreign tourists, the second being Malaysians returning for overseas and the third being Malaysians who returned from school holidays. “The Pakatan Harapan government officially fell when Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad resigned on February 24, due to the Sheraton Move on the night of February 23. Tun Dr Mahathir had to become an interim Prime Minister without a Cabinet until the appointment of a new Prime Minister at the Istana Negara on March 1. The Tabligh cluster which triggered the second wave happened from February 27 to March 2,” Abu Hafiz explained. “Rather than put the blame on the Umno president he was addressing, who was one of the main plotters of the ‘tebuk atap’ (roof perforation) PN government, this Health Minister is blaming others. After the deputy Health Minister breached the Movement Control Order (MCO) regulations yesterday and grabbed all the headlines, is the Minister now trying to reclaim the limelight?” Former Youth and Sports Minister Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, who is Armada chief, used PN’s own line of calling for PH to stop politicking on Adham. “Do you (YB) realise that the Home Minister responsible at the time of the ‘tabligh cluster’ was the current Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin? In making accusations, be a bit smart,” Syed Saddiq twitted in response to a report of Adham’s latest antics. Also going viral on social media is this excerpt from Adham’s Facebook live session (watch video,above) with Ahmad Zahid, where he states that he was sure that what he had done thus far had received international recognition through his conversations with counterparts in over 500 countries! - talkabout First, the tabligh assembly happened on 27th February to 3 March 2020. PH was no longer a government at the time. Second, the current PM was then the Home Minister. If there were anyone to blame for allowing any gathering during PH tenure, that person was the Home Minister which is the current back door Prime Minister who led the coup against the democratically elected government. Is he blaming his own PM now. Thirdly, clearly on the Health Ministry record that prior to Sheraton Coup, the was no new infection for 11 days consecutively. That meant, on record PH had succeeded in containing the virus before it was forced out of power. Najib provides hint that he will walk free... 

Former Prime Minister Najib Razak provided another hint of his expectations of the outcome of his court proceedings after posting on his Facebook page that he will be looking to sue Sarawak Report editor Clare Rewcastle Brown after they are are settled. In the posting, in which Najib shared a Malaysiakini report about a data analysis firm seeking to claim RM15 million in damages over a series of twitter postings and articles from Sarawak Report. “She lies a lot. This is the second lawsuit she is facing due to slander,” said Najib. “After my cases are over, I will also consider to sue her,” he stated, providing a hint that he foresees an end to his trials that is favorable to himself. Najib attached links to several other news articles published during his reign as the 6th Prime Minister to justify his claims of having been slandered by Brown.

Najib is currently battling a series of trials over 42 counts of corruption and money laundering linked to the rogue sovereign fund 1MDB. Following the political coup last month, which saw the fall of the Pakatan Harapan government, to be replaced by Perikatan Nasional which includes Barisan Nasional, PAS, Bersatu and 11 defectors from PKR, Najib had announced that he now expects a “more conducive environment” in court. - talkabout
